What the first MCU Spider-Man soundtrack taught me about the nature of evil
/in Uncategorized/by Wallace Smith[Note, 2/17/22: A link in this post was messed up. It’s been fixed!] A month or so ago, Spider-Man: No Way Home conquered the box office, and it seems the right time to unleash this observation I’ve been holding on to since Tom Holland’s first time headlining as the webslinger. (Not counting Captain America: Civil War. That’s why I said “headlining.” Details are important!) I wish I could take full credit for it, and I’d give full credit for the notice if I could, but it apparently began with some Reddit post back in 2017 or so and I’ve since lost any link to the original post.

/in Uncategorized/by Your Friendly Neighborhood EditorsThe Church published a fantastic sermon by Mr. Rod McNair that he gave a couple of years ago here in Charlotte titled “What Cause Are You Fighting For?” that is really helpful in helping us find perspective. Our Inaugural Podcast!
/in Podcast/by Wallace Smith & John RobinsonGreetings! We’re excited to kick off this podcast! While we have a few demo recordings under our belt, this is the first official podcast to go public. It’s a weird one—mainly us talking about the podcast and how we hope to serve you with it. We also invite you to send us your thoughts, and we’d love to hear from you. We’re working on a form or something so you can give us that feedback—until then, you can email either of us using the super-secret ministerial email address format. (Not actually secret, though still super: first initial + last name + [at] + lcg.org. Forgive the weird formula: I’m trying to prevent the bots from spamming us…) We hope you enjoy this different-but-sincere first podcast outing and are looking forward to future episodes!
