LYC Texas Teen Camp is building momentum as applications continue to pour into the camp website. Staff positions are filling out wonderfully, with more than 70 applications already submitted! It is exciting to see so many willing to serve and help make this year’s camp a success!

As planning progresses, new classes are being developed. First Aid and Outdoor classes will provide the teens with practical life skills knowledge. For certain activities, safety remains a top priority. Classes such as Swimming and Canoeing will have certified lifeguards on duty. This is a precaution to ensure a safe and well-supervised environment. Food safe certifications are also necessary for Kitchen Staff who handle food preparations. Other classes may not require formal certifications, but experience makes a meaningful difference. Classes such as Gym Sports or Field Sports benefit from volunteers who bring practical knowledge and enthusiasm to the table.

Every role matters, and the volunteers who step in to serve are deeply appreciated. If you are considering attending Texas Teen Camp this year, now is the time to act! Positions are filling quickly! We are looking forward to another outstanding camp season, and we hope to see you there!
