This year in Life Roles we taught the girls how to create their own beauty and cleaning products by using natural ingredients. We wanted to educate them chemicals that can hurt the body and encourage them to look deeper into the subject. In doing so, they will be able to make better choices on products such as bodywash, lotions, facewash, shampoo and cleaning products. This class showed the importance of taking care of our skin – the largest organ of the body.

The girls had hands on experience, measuring and mixing ingredients, as well as choosing their own scents. They made chapstick, lavender pillow mix, foaming hand soap and orange peel cleaner. The even tried their hands at making perfume by blending scents and herbs. It was fun watching the girls explore different scents and maybe along the way, finding their signature scent.
