Today at Camp — Gym Sports

Gym sports this year is made up of 3 sessions of Volleyball and 3 sessions of Basketball. These two sports provide the campers with an opportunity for learning teamwork skills, along with growth in person skills in each sport they will play. They will work on, in each session, on fundamental skills and then do a fun activity to solidify some of those skills they worked on. Each sport session will encourage the use of Godly attributes and attitudes which promote the use of encouraging other fellow campers in. The perspective we want to encourage is one of cooperation verses competition.
As activity head, I am excited to work with both campers and staff on promoting these Godly attitudes we are all seeking to develop in striving to live God’s way. Working as the head of gym sports allows me to help motivate and promote the development of everyone so they can achieve new personal growth, either in a tangible skill or the non-tangible skills.
Volleyball and Basketball are great ways to show and apply the principles Teen Camp promotes and encourages.
