Today at Camp — Aquatics

By Department Head – Mr. Michael Elliott

The purpose of these swimming classes is to teach every camper how to swim.  This will aid in their enjoyment recreationally but could potentially save their life.  I love being part of the Aquatics team because I get to see growth in the skills of the returning campers and love watching them improve each year.   It is also very rewarding to see a new swimmer conquer their fear of the water and begin to enjoy it.  It is thrilling to see their eyes light up and smile for the first time in the water.  We have a very talented team on the Aquatics staff who love teaching and are a joy to work with.

This year the Aquatics staff will be teaching 3 different strokes:

The Front Crawl

The Breaststroke

And The Back Crawl
