We are pleased to announce that we will be running an Adventure Camp in South Africa. The dates for the LYP SA Adventure Camp 2018 is Thursday afternoon 26 April to Tuesday 1 May. The camp will start at Mulberry Lane Suites, Graskop. On Friday a whitewater rafting activity is planned on the Sabie river. The 3-day, 2-night hike, is planned from Sunday to Tuesday, on the Fanie Botha hiking trail in Sabie, Mpumalanga. The Fanie Botha hiking trail is regarded as one of the best trails in the country. The hiking trail winds its way through the hills of Sabie, past waterfalls, rainforest, and has breath-taking panoramic views.
During the three day hike, we will cover a total of 30km (19 miles). Additional activities will include, games, Friday evening Bible study, Sabbath services at Mulberry Lane, Christian Living Classes and plenty of fellowship.
The total cost of the accommodation, hike, and activities is R1200 p.p ($100 p.p). We can only accommodate a maximum of 24 hikers. If you are interested in attending the LYP SA Adventure Camp, please request an application form from Mr. Lawdi Ferreira (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This will be an experience of a lifetime.

The LYP SA Adventure Camp 2017 kicked off on Friday afternoon, 17 March, with a total of 25 people in attendance at the Buffalo Gorge Campsite just outside Pretoria, South Africa. We started the camp with a fast on the Sabbath of 18 March and enjoyed Sabbath services in the “bush” and a Bible study.
The accommodation consisted of tents. Hot water for the showers had to be boiled in a donkey geyser (wood fired water heater). It was a good change from everyday life with all its luxuries.
Campers participated in a 20m abseil, rock climbing, horse riding, swimming, a 12km hike, tree and bird identification, table tennis, paintball, evening board games and plenty of fellowship. Many of the activities was a first for some and great memories and friendships were built during the four days of camp.
We’re happy to be able to present the LYP South Africa 2017 Magazine that the campers and staff put together! The articles were written by the campers during a media class at the camp. We hope you enjoy it!
