West Virginia Preteen Camp 2019

This LYP Preteen Camp will be conducted at the Glenwood Park 4-H Campgrounds, in beautiful southern West Virginia. This camp facility is complete with boys’ and girls’ bunkhouses, freshwater lake with private access, large dining hall and kitchen area, assembly hall, hiking trails, grassy fields and more!

Applicant Information

Campers ages 7-12.
High School Workers ages 15-17.
Adult Workers ages 18 and up. For worker positions, previous experience as an LYP camper or staff member would be helpful. Age, experience, and interests will be considered where possible in staff placement.
Mini Campers and Sibling Campers: Staff members who will be bringing younger children who are not old enough to be campers must still submit a mini camper application for each. Additionally, staff members who must bring older children 13-14 years of age must submit a sibling camper application for each and will be charged application and tuition fees.

Note: Application fees are non-refundable and are due with the application. Tuition fees are due after acceptance, closer to the time of camp.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

All refunds for cancellations are given at the sole discretion of the camp director on a case-by-case basis. In general, once you have been accepted to camp, and the registration period has closed (whichever comes last) no refunds will be given.

The West Virginia camp this year will be one of the first to take place, beginning in just over two weeks.

West Virginia 2011 Video

We’re excited to be adding the West Virginia Pre-Teen Family camp to the LYC line-up for 2012.  The camp has been held in previous years, but this will be the first time it officially falls under the LYC banner. The camp director is Mr. Paul Shumway

The West Virginia camp is run a little bit different to the regular Pre-Teen camps, in that it emphasizes the family aspect; everyone gets to take part.  Registration for West Virginia 2012 is open until July 15.  If you’re interested in registering, head to https://lyc.lcg.org and sign up today!

LYC Pre-Teen Camp West Virginia

There will be a West Virginia Pre-Teen/Family Camp this year at the 4-H Camp in Princeton, WV.  The dates are Sunday, July 29-Friday, August 3.  This camp is designed for families with one or more children between the ages of 8-12 where the activities are planned for this age group.  Activities include canoeing, archery, guitar, orienteering, kickball, life lessons and of course, Christian Living.  We had a very successful camp last year and many will be returning.  There are still some openings.  Applications need to be in by July 6.
