The North Carolina Preteen Camp is rapidly approaching! We look forward to kicking off the U.S. camps this year, from June 11-16. This LYP Preteen Camp will be conducted at Singletary Lake State Park, in beautiful eastern North Carolina. This camp facility is complete with numerous cabins, freshwater lake with private access, large dining hall and kitchen area, hiking trails, sand volleyball court and more!
Applicant Age Information
Camper: Ages 7-12
Staff: Ages 18+
High School Worker: Ages 15-17
Camper Sibling: Ages 13-14
Mini Camper: Ages 6 & under
Mini Campers and Sibling Campers: Staff members who will be bringing younger children who are not old enough to be campers must still submit a mini camper application for each. Additionally, staff members who must bring older children 13-14 years of age must submit a sibling camper application for each and will be charged application and tuition fees.
Arrival: Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 10am for staff, and noon for campers.
Departure Date: Friday, June 29, 2018 before noon.

Nearest Airports for Campers or Staff: Raleigh-Durham International Airport or Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. Please contact the camp director before booking any flights to ensure that airport pickup will be available. There is a $7.50 each-way airport pickup/drop off fee.
This year’s activities will include canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, photography, crafts, orienteering & survival skills, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, swimming and more!

Airport Transportation is $15 roundtrip if you will be flying into/out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport or Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
Note: Application fees are non-refundable and are due with the application. Your application will be returned to you unprocessed if received without the application fee being paid.
Camper T-Shirts will be included in the cost of tuition. We will hand out (2 or 3) shirts per camper, and they are yours to keep.
Staff Shirts will be included in the cost of tuition, and they are yours to keep (2 per staff member).
Applications will be accepted from February 11, 2018 – June 1, 2018.
Note: Both staff and campers who apply after the deadlines may be placed on a waiting list.
Tuition fees are due no later than June 1, 2018.

Cancellation / Refund Policy
All refunds for cancellations are given at the sole discretion of the camp director on a case-by-case basis. In general, once you have been accepted to camp, and the registration period has closed (whichever comes last) no refunds will be given.

Last week, 114 campers and staff at the North Carolina Preteen Camp enjoyed the first North American camp of 2017. Each day began with Christian Living classes that focused on the theme for this year: the Book of Exodus. They learned about the Ten Commandments as well as the ten plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea. Activities supported this theme, as the children learned songs about the Exodus in music class and reviewed the Commandments in arts and crafts. In addition, the campers enjoyed archery, ultimate frisbee, flag football, photography, orienteering, swimming, and paddle-boarding. It was a great start to the camp season.
