Bible Study Platform Update

I hope you have all been able to enjoy the series of Bible Studies that we have been hosting each Sunday evening.   Unfortunately, for the last two weeks we have been experiencing technical difficulties due to us exceeding the capabilities of the service that we have been using – it’s a good problem to have, but one that we need to fix!

Because of that, beginning this Sunday, we are going to be using a different conferencing service.  The good news is that should be considerably more reliable service for us.  The bad news is that you’re going to need to install some software.  Installing the software should only take a few minutes, and is a one-time thing.

The software that we are using will be Microsoft Office Live Meeting (please note this is *not* the same as Microsoft Live Messenger).  You can install it from the following site: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/download-the-microsoft-office-live-meeting-2007-client-HA010173383.aspx.  The software is only available for Windows XP and above; if you are using a Mac, you will need to install it through Parallels, Fusion, Bootcamp, or some other method of running Windows software.

I’ll be working on updating the integration on the website for this new service this week; if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  My email address is jpenman@lcg.org.

I hope you all have a good Feast of Unleavened Bread.  We’ll see you at the study this Sunday, 7pm Eastern US!
