This year’s Adventure Camp is an exciting trip down the Lower Wisconsin River, considered to be one of the best canoeing rivers in the Midwest. The last 92 miles of the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway have been protected from further development, which encompasses nearly 80,000 acres of land on both sides of the river.
The Lower Wisconsin begins at Praire Du Sac, from prairie Du Sac, it freely flows through unglaciated hills of southwest Wisconsin, where it joins the Mississippi river at Prairie Du Chien and Wyalusing State Park.
The gracefull curves of the Lower Wisconsin River display starry nights, with wild beauty of nature left to its own devises for thousands of years. In constant flux, the” River of a thousand Isles” continuously sculpts its sandbars.Golden bluffs crop out of emerald hills and valleys that roll into rushing streams to the river. The river is a mecca for canoeists, campers and anglers who enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley as well as the challenge of paddling or sport of angling. This is going to be an Adventure of a life time, you don’t want to miss!
Lower Wisconsin River in Southwestern Wisconsin
Arrival Date : Friday, July 31, 2020 (not later than 1:00 pm).
Departure Date: Monday, August 10, 2020 (not later than noon/departing Minneapolis (MSP) Airport not later than 3pm).
Orientation meetings will be held Friday afternoon and Saturday evening.
Friday and Saturday, July 31 – Aug 1 – lodge with local brethren
Sunday, Aug 2 – Charter bus transport will depart from Somerset WI to the launch at the Lower Wisconsin River where we will Lodge at base camp, Canoe trip Monday – Friday, Spending the Sabbath in the wilderness. We will be covering about 50 miles, leaving time for plenty of fishing, nature hikes, swimming while camping on sandbars and Islands along the way.

Staff: To be considered for staff positions applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Staff members selected must have the ability to paddle a canoe, they must also be apt to teach, and have a love for working with teens and young adults
Camper: Campers ages 13-20 may apply. Applicants selected must have a love for adventure as well as the ability to paddle a canoe. Preferential acceptance will be given to those age 15 and up. If there is room available, we will consider younger applicants.

Note: Application fees are non-refundable and are due with the application. Tuition is due in full no later than May 31, 2020.

Cancellation / Refund Policy
All refunds for cancellations are given at the sole discretion of the camp director on a case-by-case basis. In general, once you have been accepted to camp, and the registration period has closed (whichever comes last) no refunds will be given.
