Some “hanging out” shots of campers today, and Mr. Maney’s Christian Living class focused on emphasizing the “Golden Rule” and understanding the two ways of living, give and get. More pictures coming this evening!
You’ll find pictures below of a rousing session of Playdoh Pictionary for an evening activity and Dorm 4B turning on the lights in Life Roles (learning about electrical wiring), followed by pics from an impromptu hymn sing and Sabbath breakfast. Mr. Mark Sandor gave a Bible study on Friday Night about choosing life and friendships in life, and different “levels” of friends. He also addressed what we do when friends make choices we can’t go along with and how to make difficult but right choices.
First, our apologies to 1B! We haven’t gotten many pictures of them up at all, but I hear word some pictures were snapped or are being snapped this afternoon, so keep your eyes open tomorrow! In the meantime, enjoy pictures of the other dorms, below! Featured, as well, is Mr. Julian Braddock giving the Christian Living class for the day about the importance of the word “if” and grasping the significance of cause and effect and making deliberate choices in your life.

It’s a busy day before the Sabbath arrives! The pictures below include the new Scripture Education class designed to help campers get to know their Bible better. And Mr. Ryan Dawson’s Christian Living class helped everyone appreciate how Esau didn’t notice the fine print on the purchase when he traded his birthright for a bowl of soup in Genesis 25!

Another day of activities! From softball to speech, the life roles class to some random, smiling campers—then the All-Camp Photo, with everyone gathered together to say cheese! What a beautiful group. And you’ll see a certain Presiding Evangelist in the background of one photo doing softball drills with the campers. As past campers know, the man likes him some softball!
Classes continue at LYP this week! Thankfully, the schedules include water classes that provide a respite from the warm Texas sun (sometimes, swamping the canoe is the preferred outcome!) and several classes are indoors. And this year, the decorations for the topics and dance evenings are being planned and executed by the girl dorms in their Life Roles class.
